Testimonial
" I have been gobsmacked to see nearly every child try all the foods. One little girl rushed out the day we made baked mushrooms and proceeded to tell our school cleaner how yummy they were. The cleaner went home and cooked them for tea. Other children went home and asked their mums to make the cauliflower recipe (we put our cauliflower on skewers then dipped them in the sauce). All the children wanted to show their parents all about the programme when we had our student conferences at the end of term.
The absolute highlight of the programme was going out to our class garden, digging up our carrots, baking them with honey which came from my bee hive and eating them for morning tea."
Sue Ham - Teacher – Featherston School
“Your whats for lunch program has been a great way to support our gardening and healthy food ongoing focus. It has allowed students to make connections with the real world outside of school and the processes involved, as well as career information for our older students. The program has been integrated into mixed ability reading and has helped to lift topic vocab. They really enjoy the science component too. What a great resource."
